Volunteering

Volunteers' Week 1-7 June

GWYNEDD VOLUNTEER BANK – CORONAVIRUS

The Gwynedd Volunteer Centre is compiling a register of volunteers who might be able support individuals in our communities in light of the coronavirus outbreak. If and when we receive information about schemes in your area, we will refer you to these schemes and ask them to get in touch with you. We can’t guarantee when this will happen of course but we hope those registered on the bank will be able to support our communities. Also, there are a number of local initiatives being set up across the County. Keep an eye out on social media for anything that may be coordinated locally.

To register as a volunteer, please click here to complete the form.

Welcome to the volunteering section!

Gwynedd Volunteer Centre provides advice and information to individuals who are interested in volunteering. As part of our service, we recruit and refer volunteers to organisations that are of interest and who are looking for volunteers.

We provide advice, information and guidance on all aspects of volunteering and work closely with individuals and organisations by raising awareness of volunteering, promoting volunteering, developing new opportunities and work with groups who involve volunteers to improve practices.

What is a volunteering?

Simply, volunteering is an activity which:

  • is undertaken freely and by choice
  • is being done in the interest of the public or community
  • is not being done for financial gain
