Could you give just one hour a week to make a difference to the life of someone living in residential care?

If the answer is 'YES' then Book of You would love to hear from you!

We are looking for Welsh and English speaking volunteers to visit care homes across North Wales for an hour each week, to befriend and chat to a resident as part of our Care Home Buddy Project, funded by the People's Postcode Lottery. Full training and checks will be provided, along with Tempo Time Credits as a thank you for your valuable support.

Book of You is an award winning social enterprise based in North Wales. Over the years we have worked with many different clients including older people, veterans, refugees and young adults with a learning disability. We have seen first hand that many care home residents have few if any visitors, and we know how visits from someone who cares can make a huge difference to wellbeing. Currently running successfully in Denbighshire, Conwy and Pembrokeshire, we want to expand the benefits of Care Home Buddies across the whole of North Wales over the next 12 months.
