We are looking for volunteers to provide support and friendship to our clients with a sensory loss and to be able to do this by telephone or letter. We are looking for volunteers to support our clients in their own homes and also taking them out and about. As a befriender you will phone service users at a regular time each week or write letters on a regular basis, providing essential companionship for those who have problems leaving their home and make service users feel valued and known. Can you help and support our clients with a sensory loss by helping them become more independent such as Attending groups/events Help with the shopping Encourage a new hobby / interest Help with transport Read a book/newspaper Take a stroll through a park etc. Chat and share some time to enhance a clients day
